ASPIRE
Accessible Surgical-robotics Platform for Research in Surgical Training, Skill Evaluation and Autonomy.
The INSPIRE Lab at IIT Madras focuses on development of safe and affordable robotic systems for surgical and image-guided interventions and their clinical translation.
The lab is led by Dr. Nirav Patel, Associate Professor in the Department of Engineering Design, and is an interdisciplinary space for mechanical, biomedical, computer science, and electrical engineering research.
Accessible Surgical-robotics Platform for Research in Surgical Training, Skill Evaluation and Autonomy.
Development of image-guided robotic systems for neurosurgery workflows and needle-based interventions.
Real-time ultrasound-guided intervention system for minimally invasive biopsy and related procedures.
Department of Engineering Design, IIT Madras (ED-317A).
Dr. Nirav Patel previously held a postdoctoral position at Johns Hopkins University (LCSR).
